Project “Integration of people with disabilities through learning”

SUMMER SCHOOL

Till its foundation 200 years ago, the Turin Institution for the d/Deaf, has between its institutional tasks the inclusion of d/Deaf people in society and the training of teachers and operators.

In this perspective, the Institute offers training and reflection opportunities, with the intent of being not only a centre of service delivery, but also a place of thought, research, meet and exchange of ideas.

The Turin Institution for the d/Deaf is really active from a cultural point of view from many years and also this year it organizes some events during the summer months:

- speech therapy summer camps, for d/Deaf and hearing children;
- meetings for the training of teachers and educators, in particular for their updating in the field of educational and rehabilitation documents;
- museums and cultural accessibility for d/Deaf people in the framework of the UN Convention;
- international conferences: in particular on the 28th of June takes place the final conference of the Erasmus+ project “Integration of people with disabilities through learning” and the presentation of the e-book “International Signs Practical Kit”;
- stay at the seaside for d/Deaf people.
